My brother returning from a quiet drink in a nameless Streatham Vale pub, in South London.
He was struck over the head twice with a bottle that according to him didn't actually smash.

He had it glued and butterfly stitched shut (so as to minimise the scarring) down at MayDay hospital.

Ouch.

Indeed it was, but to his credit he keeps mentioning that the remaining wound is doing wonders for his "sympathy vote" with the laydees!

He has that annoying knack of turning most situations, good or bad, into an opportunity to charm a lady or three.
