Thom playing solo at the Mercury Prize 2006.
I've been a massive Radiohead fan since I was in college, yet had only seen them play live for the first time at V2006, just a week before I took this. Thom had just started his piece - so there was an impressive hush in the room. When he looked up and into the crowd, me and about five other photographers around me went wild, which he could hear clearly, the click-click-clicking easily carrying over the dark-dulcet intro chords. He threw us a typically sardonic smile and then launched into Analyse. Great performance, check it out on YouTube |
